2/00 - Saw Dr. Habib at Queens College and he looked at an inclusion under my stereoscope and saw a triad pollen in a Buckamber. He stated that he has never seen one that large in 40 yrs working with pollen and spores. He also stated that there has to be ancient ground being uncovered out on the continental shelf. He asked his colleague Lenney to look as well. He saw the same thing. Lenney was good enough to slab a Buckamber with spores in it. He advised me to take it to Dee Breger, in Lamont, Columbia, who runs the SEM machine there. I did. A picture shows a broken shell of a spore. Here it is.
